Placements at University of Suffolk:

We offer a diverse range of placement opportunities across NHS hospital and community settings, private healthcare organisations voluntary, charitable, and independent sectors.

Placement Administration Team

The Placement Administration team is responsible for the coordinating and logistics of student placements, including: placement allocation, occupational health clearance and mandatory training tracking.

Note: DBS clearance is managed by the DSB team at dbs@uos.ac.uk

We work closely with placement providers to ensure placements are suitable and beneficial for both students and host organisations.

When allocating placements, we consider:

Known reasonable adjustments
Students’ term-time addresses
Driving status

Students are not normally expected to travel more than one hour from their term-time address to their allocated placement.
