New Starter Checklist

If you’re holding a conditional offer, make sure you send copies of your results (certificates and/or transcripts) to Admissions if they aren’t shared through UCAS. Respond quickly to any requests for additional information e.g. evidence of highest qualifications, fee assessment questionnaires, DBS forms, Occupational Health forms (Health and Social Work students) or references, to avoid any delays to your enrolment.

If you applied from abroad and are coming to the UK on a student visa, please visit our designated pages for international students.

As a new student you will be invited to join Brightspace, the online learning environment at the University of Suffolk. You can use Brightspace on your browser, but for the best experience, download the Brightspace Pulse app for Android or iOS. The Pulse app is designed to bring news, deadlines and grades together in one place and will help you to keep track of important updates.

This takes place shortly before your course starts. We will send you an email inviting you to complete enrolment online via the Applicant Area as soon as your enrolment is ready. During the enrolment process you will confirm the information we hold about you, choose your modules and tell us how your fees will be paid. If you have any questions, check out our Enrolment Page.

Registration and collecting your Student ID is the final step for you to enrol at the University of Suffolk. You can do this anytime from 10 September 2026, but you must have completed your enrolment task online at least 72 hours before.

All you need to do is book a slot to collect your Student ID. You will need to come to the Waterfront Building and bring with you a form of ID. During this slot we will complete Right to Study check and confirm your details.

If you are an international student you will need to complete your Right to Study check before you receive your enrolment task.
