Your course timetable

As you enrol and select your modules, the timetable is automatically pushed into your University of Suffolk Office 365 Outlook Calendar. As such, if you login to your University email/Outlook account you can select “calendar” which will show the teaching sessions, along with information such as module title and room number.

Most students find it convenient to add their University Outlook calendar to the calendars on their mobile phone for quick, easy access.

Our timetabling system will automatically update changes for you directly into your calendar. Whilst we try to keep these to a minimum, changes may include things like room changes, so it is worth quickly checking each day.

Timetables are also available via a link in your Brightspace modules. These timetables give more of an overview of the course timetables, but are a useful backup system in case you are unable to access Outlook.

We offer a full, on-campus learning experience. It is an expectation to attend all timetabled live teaching sessions on campus. This means that if you are unable to attend campus for the taught session you should complete the authorised absence request form on Brightspace and your request will be considered by the Attendance Monitoring Team.

As your Higher Education Provider we must meet certain regulatory requirements; to do this, course teams will ask you to complete a digital register for every timetabled live taught session. You will need to complete information in class using an electronic device such as a tablet, smartphone or laptop. Your lecturer will provide you with the information needed in each class.

Late Starters

If you join the University after the first day of your course induction, don’t worry. Start attending sessions as soon as you can and be sure to visit Brightspace to familiarise yourself with induction information. The Student Centre is on hand to help you if you have any general questions about getting started at University. Remember there is no such thing as a silly question!
