Integrated Care Academy

Integrated Care Academy

Established in 2021, and hosted by the University of Suffolk, the Integrated Care Academy (ICA) was established to break down barriers across organisational boundaries to improve outcomes for people requiring coordinated health and care services.

The partners included Suffolk County Council, Healthwatch Suffolk, the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board, the University of Suffolk, and organisations from the voluntary and community sector.

With significant structural change taking place within the NHS, local authorities and higher education, the difficult decision was taken to conclude its operation at the end of 2025.

The ICA developed a strong reputation as a collaborative space for education, innovation, leadership, research, co-production and empowerment.

The University of Suffolk is proud to have been part of this work and will continue working closely with health and care partners, especially through education and research programmes.

To capture the learning and legacy of the ICA, its dedicated website remains operational as an archive of learning, resources and impact reports.
