An introduction to the specified advanced health care practice competencies in the work place encouraging critical thinking about, and creative visioning of, potential future professional role development.
- To critically examine the body of historical and contemporary theory to inform the role of leadership in organisations and health and social care.
- To critically analyse the contextual nature of legislative and political processes which inform and underpin social policy formulation.
- To provide the student with the opportunity to evaluate their own behaviours and personal qualities in relation to leadership and advanced practice, enabling greater personal effectiveness.
- To consider the importance of building capacity in others to develop leadership and innovation throughout the organisation
