Welcome: Induction

Induction is an important first step in your student journey here with us at the University of Suffolk. We will provide you with online information and resources but induction is also when you start attending in-person events on campus, and we can’t wait to meet you!

We want to start preparing you for your studies as soon as possible, and so in the weeks leading up to the start of the academic year you will receive an invitation to join our online welcome module in Brightspace, the University’s online learning environment.

As well as this online resource, induction is a time for you to come to campus, meet your fellow students and your course team, find your way around the buildings and where necessary, be introduced to specialist facilities or undertake activities like uniform fittings. The events and activities you will do will depend on your course, but more information about your timetable for the first week will be included in your course timetable. You can view your course timetable in your Applicant Portal or once you have enrolled, you will be able to see this via your calendar. The welcome module does explain how to access your calendar along with guidance from the Digital and IT Team.

Start Dates

Below you will find the details of when you need to first attend and register for your course. You do not need to arrive before the session start time published below, we have allowed plenty of time for you to register and make your way to the room.

If there is no information published yet, please don’t worry. We advise you to check this page regularly as more information will be confirmed, and all information may be subject to change.
