Business students from the University of Suffolk enjoyed a unique opportunity when they met with marketing leaders at Hello Fresh HQ in London.

The trip was part of the students’ Principles of Digital Marketing module where they were set a challenge to use their own insights as new students alongside theory to develop an innovative marketing campaign to help Hello Fresh break into the student market.

In true Hello Fresh style, the group were welcomed with a fine spread of treats before the groups took to the stand to deliver their pitches.

The Hello Fresh panel was made up of Lydi Siebers, Chief Marketing Officer and Katie Sheeran, Director of Brand & Communications alongside other members of the marketing team who gave the students helpful feedback on their ideas followed by a tour of their kitchens and an insight into how they run their business.

Claire Culley, Senior Lecturer at the University of Suffolk, said: “It’s not very often that first year students can say that they’ve pitched their ideas to a global brand and I can’t tell you how proud I am of the students for stepping up to the challenge.

“The team at Hello fresh were incredibly welcoming and gave lots of advice and support to our students.

“This invaluable experience has not only given the students confidence in their marketing ideas but has also boosted their confidence hugely.”
