Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme
All graduates of the University of Suffolk are entitled to a loyalty reduction on selected postgraduate course fees. The Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme has been developed to support and encourage alumni students to progress to full or part-time postgraduate taught or research programmes at the University, including PhD study.
The Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme gives 25% reduction on course fees for Level 7 (MA, MSc, MRes) and Level 8 (PhD) study. To qualify for the PG Loyalty Scheme, you must:
- Be a University of Suffolk or University Campus Suffolk graduate;
- Be paying full postgraduate tuition fees;
- Have been offered and accepted a place on a Masters degree or postgraduate research degree at the University of Suffolk;
- Have cleared any outstanding debt with the University of Suffolk;
- Be in continued attendance for the duration of the postgraduate programme.
Students who are alumni only of SCITT or PGCE courses at the University of Suffolk and are paying full postgraduate tuition fees will be eligible for a 10% discount.
Please note the following:
- Students applying for a PG programme who are still studying at the University of Suffolk, will be assessed as being eligible for the Loyalty Scheme based on their expected graduation. If a student does not successfully graduate from the University of Suffolk, they will no longer be eligible for the PG Loyalty Scheme.
- Students eligible for one or more scholarship(s) and the Alumni Loyalty Scheme, will only receive the value of the highest award.
- Students in receipt of a partial or full fee-waiver will not be eligible for the Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme.
- Students on the MSc Adult Nursing (pre-registration) or the MSc (Diagnostic Radiography (pre-registration) will not be eligible for the Loyalty Scheme. Any future pre-registration Professional Health programmes will also not be eligible for the Loyalty Scheme.
- Students progressing into the final year of MPharm Pharmacy will not be eligible for the discount in the final year. Graduates of MPharm will be eligible for the Loyalty Scheme for future PG study.
- Students on any Integrated Masters (four-year programme) will not be eligible for this discount.
- Students who are progressing from a Level 7 award (e.g. PGCert, PGDip) into further level 7 study (e.g. PGDip, MA/MSc), will not be eligible for a discount for their continuing studies.
- Students who are progressing from a Level 5 award (e.g. FdA or FdSc) into Level 6 (e.g. BA or BSc) will not be eligible for a discount for their continued studies; however students who have completed Level 5 study at the University and have subsequently been accepted for Level 7 (MA/MSc/MRes) or Level 8 (PhD), will be eligible for a discount.
- Only full programmes of study will be considered as making the student eligible for the Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme for Level 7 or Level 8 study. This includes BA/BSc degrees, FdA/FdSc degrees, or MA/MSc degrees. Those who have only completed CPD courses with the University will not be eligible for the Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme.
- Students accepted onto CPD programmes will not be eligible for the Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme unless the CPD is a PGCert, PGDip, or MA/MSc.
- The Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme is only available as a discount to tuition fees, which will be applied when invoices are generated for the course. The discount cannot be made available as a cash award.
- Students who have legally changed their name following their earlier studies at the University of Suffolk (or Partners) must provide evidence of their earlier study or name in order to qualify for the Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme. Discounts cannot be retrospectively applied after payment. Any student who has not had the discount applied and has therefore ‘overpaid’ will not be eligible for a refund. The discount will be applied to any future invoices.
Please note the following:
- Awards cannot be deferred and have to be taken in the academic year for which they are awarded;
- Awards cannot be backdated;
- In the case of withdrawal or intercalation, your fee is calculated based on the liability points stated in the Tuition Fee Policy. The discount will only be applied on the fee charged.
All students who are eligible will be automatically considered for the bursary award during the admissions process. No application is required.
