Before joining the University of Suffolk, Viki previously enjoyed a successful career in Facilities Management; working as Head of Estates and Health & Safety.
In 2018 favouring a career change, and following her interests in Mental Health & Wellbeing, Viki joined the University of Suffolk as a part-time Student Life Adviser.
In her role she provides advice, support and guidance to students and prospective students on a range of the university's courses and student services including; student accommodation, disability mental health & wellbeing services, counselling and CBT, student finance, and careers & employability.
She delivers workshops on Silver Cloud; the online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy platform, mindfulness, resilience, wellbeing and meditation. Viki has a postgraduate certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling.
Viki is also a very creative person, she has a BA (Hons) Photography from University Campus Suffolk, she recently organised an Art Exhibition during Mental Health Awareness Week to showcase student and staff work in the areas of fine art, photography and poetry.
Having previously volunteered at a local women’s community centre & refuge. Viki is a university representative with the Domestic Abuse Champions Network in Suffolk. She organises domestic abuse awareness events and was involved in the creation of the University's Domestic Abuse Policy for staff and students.
In her free time she practises Tai Chi and Yoga. She enjoys Landscape & Street Photography.
