Sebastian graduated from the University of Greenwich in 2009 with a Foundation Degree in Paramedic Science and began working as a paramedic in Central London until 2015. During this time, he mentored paramedic and medical students and was the lead paramedic for the Pre-Hospital Care Programme at University College London.

In 2013, he undertook an Expedition Medicine course in Chamonix and in 2014 spent three months working as an expedition medic for Raleigh International in Tanzania.

In 2015, Sebastian joined the Hazardous Area Response Team in London, where he undertook training in various types of specialist rescue and response. During his time with HART, Sebastian became an instructor in Swift Water Rescue, completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Trauma Science at Queen Mary University London and taught as an associate lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University.

Sebastian was appointed as a Lecturer in Paramedic Science at the University of Suffolk in 2023 and continues to work in clinical practice as a bank paramedic with East of England Ambulance Service.
