Sarah has over 15 years of teaching expertise and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Sarah is a Lecturer in Business and Project Management at the University of Suffolk. She plays a lead role in the design, development and delivery of key academic programmes with a strong focus on student experience, professional readiness and meaningful employer engagement. Their modules and course contributions span BA (Hons) Business Management, the Associate Project Manager (Higher Apprenticeship), and the BSc Project Manager Degree Apprenticeship, with a commitment to creating inclusive, interactive and industry-connected learning.

Sarah has a wealth of experience in curriculum design, professional practice education, and delivery innovation. As Course Leader for the Business Professional in Practice module on the BA (Hons) Business Management programme, they champion students’ career and professional development, preparing learners for graduation and the world of work through work-based learning, reflective practice and employer engagement.

Their teaching philosophy emphasises varied and interactive delivery, bringing theory to life through live briefs, project-based learning and direct engagement with industry. They have a strong track record of embedding real-world practice into the curriculum, drawing on their background in marketing, B2B environments, event management and ongoing business leadership. This blend of academic expertise and professional experience ensures learning is contemporary, applied and relevant to evolving business contexts.

Sarah is actively engaged with the business community to enrich the student learning experience and develop meaningful partnerships between the University and industry. She has cultivated extensive relationships with employers who regularly participate in class activities, guest lectures and live brief collaboration, helping students to connect academic theory with practical application.

In addition to their academic role, Sarah runs businesses in the design and construction industry. This ongoing professional practice keeps their insight current and ensures teaching remains grounded in live industry challenges, trends and standards.
