Rachel has worked in education for over 10 years now. After obtaining an Advanced Apprenticeship in Business and Administration, she transitioned into a permanent position supporting students, parents/guardians, academics and business support staff within the Further Education Sector.
Rachel recently made the decision to embrace a new opportunity within Higher Education and joined the Apprenticeship Hub in late 2020. She communicates across a number of teams in order to support the Head of Apprenticeships and Skills Coaches to provide a positive learner experience by assisting with recording, tracking and monitoring an array of operational tasks and documentation.
Although it has been challenging commencing a new job role remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, she has found the Business Engagement and Entrepreneurship team, the wider University staff, and the employers to be a supportive community who have helped her to adapt to the challenges faced during such unprecedented times.
