Olga Khokhlova is an Adjunct Lecturer at Middlesex University Dubai and Murdoch University Dubai and is actively involved in research being a Research Associate at Social Psychology Research Lab at Middlesex University Dubai. She has a MSc in Psychology from Bielefeld University (Germany) and has recently started a PhD at the University of Suffolk researching perceptions of marital rape across different cultures. One of the aims of this project is to identify how different factors such as jealousy, sexual deprivation and level of resistance might contribute to the perception of marital rape and to understand cross-cultural differences in victim-blaming and rape perception.

Olga's primary research interests include the victimization of vulnerable populations and what are the factors contributing to greater victim-blaming and justification of the perpetrator".
