Nicki started her journalism career as a trainee reporter on a two-year apprenticeship at the Suffolk Free Press combined with study at Stradbroke College in Sheffield.

She worked on the weekly title for several years as a reporter and district reporter before moving to sister paper, the Bury Free Press in Bury St Edmunds as Lifestyle Writer.

She then joined Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds as Press and Communications Officer within the busy marketing department promoting both in-house productions and visiting shows as well as the theatre itself which is the last remaining Regency playhouse in the country.

From there Nicki moved to St Edmundsbury Cathedral as Head of PR and Visitors, joining at the start of a fundraising project to build a model of the Cathedral out of Lego ® bricks.

Nicki then started freelancing in Press and PR for various clients including the Suffolk Buildings Preservation Trust, which owns Little Hall in Lavenham, Thelnetham Windmill and Pakenham Watermill, and the Heritage Lottery funded Witches of West Suffolk theatre and community project.

She has also helped local sports clubs, charities and theatre groups with their social media and press releases.
