Lawrence Woolston

Lawrence Woolston started his career in professional photography in 1989 and worked for 20 years in commercial studios and photographic laboratories covering many areas of commercial and social photography.

Area of expertise

Having grown up in an era of film Lawrence has a wealth of experience in photography. He is equally qualified in both analogue (film) and digital photography, studio, darkroom and digital print. Lawrence designed the current university studios, darkroom and digital facilities. He is what you could describe as an expert in his field, overseeing the day to day running of the Photography studios and darkrooms.

Professional practice

His photographic practice currently encompasses research in new technologies and techniques, whilst supporting students in their work. Lawrence also takes on Photographic commissions and distributes his images internationally through stock libraries and art websites.
