Erkan has a PhD degree in psychology. Erkan's doctoral research and publications in the field of psychology, more specifically in neural, cognitive, and metacognitive differences in schizophrenia, are contributing to current literature and treatment goals. Erkan has worked as part of cross-disciplinary research projects, and has experience of working as a researcher in the University of Surrey on various projects, and in Turkey for 3 years. Currently, Erkan is working as a Research Fellow on a research project aiming to improve future health workforce at the University of Suffolk.
