Emily Ruegg qualified as a midwife in 2006 at Suffolk College, she went on to work as a rotational midwife at Ipswich Hospital.  During her experience, she worked within both inpatient and community providing antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.  In 2012 she was promoted to a specialist post as a Practice Development Midwife where she supported all midwifery staff in training and development as well as newly qualified midwives during their year of preceptorship.  Emily then went on to become a Ward Lead of a Midwife Led Care Unit as her passion has always been the promotion and facilitation of positive physiological birthing.  Emily has recently become RCM Workplace Stewart which enables her to advocate staff in her trust.  Emily is currently studying in Advanced Midwifery Practice at Masters level, her academic focus is around supporting women with complex needs in childbearing.
