Chantalle joined the University at its inception in 2007 and is very proud to have seen the university evolve to the University of Suffolk. Prior to joining, she worked in a number of guises in education including Further Education (FE), private training provision and prisons; predominantly in the areas of information, advice, education and guidance (IAEG).
Chantalle completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Careers Education, Advice, and Guidance in Higher Education at the University of Warwick, which furthered her interest in pedagogy for employability and enabled her to explore the development of self and identity, and how we can evaluate this to make sense of past and future experiences and decisions.
In her current role as Head of Student Services, she leads services across the areas of careers, international, disability, wellbeing, counselling and student finance. She works in liaison with our Multi-faith Chaplaincy and works collaboratively across the institution on agendas such as, inclusivity, equality, diversity, employability and student experience. She is also the Deputy Safeguarding Officer for the Ipswich Campus.
The work as a department brings together a range of complementary services which offer support but also opportunities for students to continue to develop. Through her Masters in Teaching and Learning she continues to explore personal and professional learning to be able to use this to inform her work as a Manager, an individual and as a department.
