Alumni Connection Week 2024

Celebrating and Supporting our Alumni Community

Connection Week is back. Our exclusive Alumni event at the University of Suffolk takes place between 29 April and 3 May, and provides a range of opportunities for our Alumni to reconnect with the University.

This year the week takes place both online and in person, designed in response to feedback from our Alumni Community during our recent Alumni Survey.

Our Next Steps event on Tuesday 30 April is designed to provide advice and information on how the University can continue to support you into the future. This event will comprise of panel discussions, careers advice, information on postgraduate and PhD study, access to CPD and short courses and an opportunity to meet or catch up with the lecturers.

Throughout the week you will also have access to Lunchtime Live sessions, careers support and on campus tours as well as plenty of opportunities to connect with the Alumni Relations and Development Team both online and in person

Reconnect with us during this week, tell us what you are up to, share your stories, send us a video message or use the opportunity to meet up with old friends. Tag us in your social media posts and share your experiences of University of Suffolk.

Register your interest in any of the above by emailing the alumni team. Find out more about the Alumni Connections Week events taking place here.

Help us to celebrate Connection Week by taking part in our Virtual Balloon Race!

A virtual balloon race is an online simulated race.  It is environmentally friendly, open to all of our alumni around the world and above all great fun! You simply purchase balloons, pick your design and from Friday 3 May to Monday 6 May, all of the balloons will ‘race’. The balloon that travels the furthest distance in that time wins and the winner will receive a £50 Amazon voucher. You have to be in it to win it.

All funds raised will go towards the University’s vital charitable work specifically for wellbeing and inclusivity projects for students. You’ll be making a huge difference to the lives of our students, staff, and wider community.

If you have any questions, please email us.

Bringing together our community of Alumni, Students, Staff and Supporters, Suffolk Links is an opportunity for our entire University of Suffolk community to come together wherever you are in the world.

During Connection Week 2024, 29th April to 3rd May, we will be creating a community paper chain, connecting the links of our extensive global community, and showing our impact from far and wide.  By telling us what Suffolk means to you, we will create a never-ending chain which will be continually added to as our community continues to grow and proudly displayed at the University.

To be involved all you have to do is tell us one of the following in just a few words:

  • What University of Suffolk means to you
  • Your favourite memory
  • A member of staff or another student who inspired you
  • Why you chose Suffolk
  • What 3 words come to mind when you think of University of Suffolk
  • A message of kindness to the University

Let us know the following:

  • If you are a graduate – Tell us your name, the year you graduated, what you studied and where you are
  • If you are a current student – Tell us your name, what you are currently studying and where you are
  • If you are a member of staff – Tell us your name, job title and how long you have worked with us
  • If you a partner/friend/supporter/donor – Tell us your name and where you are from

Contact us with the above by emailing Alumni@uos.ac.uk, sending us a message via social media or come in and see us during Connection Week.  We will place your message on a link and send you a picture for you to share on social media and support your university.

To be involved contact us any time before the 3rd May.
