Launch of the new Business Solutions Centre

The University of Suffolk has launched a new Business Solutions Centre which will connect students with local business and organisations.

The Business Solutions Centre was unveiled at a special breakfast network event at the start of July, which was attended by over 100 local business leaders.

The aim of the Business Solution Centre is to bring together expertise from the business community, research and knowledge exchange from the University and engage with students looking to gain practical industry experience.

Business leaders will be able to access desk and meeting space as well as other facilities in the Business Solution Centre which is based in the University’s Atrium building on the Ipswich campus, and work with students to solve business challenges, whilst giving students valuable work experience alongside their university studies.

Marek Hornak, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Commercial and Academic Partnerships said the initiative will be of huge benefit to both the business community and university students.

“The Business Solutions Centre is a catalyst for growth, a gateway to the University’s expertise, talent and resources.

“It will deliver comprehensive support services designed for companies and organisations looking to partner with the University to accelerate growth, tackle challenges, develop solutions and enhance workforce capabilities through apprenticeships and short courses.”
