Jo Parsons

Jo has worked at the University since 2008, starting as Professional Assistant to the Executive Assistant and Director of Finance. Over the years Jo progressed to provide support to the Director of IT, Estates, International and Head of Corporate Office to assist in the day to day running of the Executive Office. Jo then advanced to Executive Assistant to the Provost and is now Executive Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor and CEO, and Manager of the Vice-Chancellor's Office.

Jo’s responsibilities include being the main contact for the Vice-Chancellor and providing administration support, diary management and to assist in managing the Vice-Chancellor’s office. Jo is Secretary to the Executive Committee, Honorary Awards Committee and Administrator for the University of Suffolk Board.  Jo formed the University of Suffolk Professional Assistant and Support Network group which has proved to be successful amongst members and has gone from strength to strength since its formation in January 2021.

Prior to joining the University, Jo worked in the Financial Industry as PA to the Executive Director of Operations, Infrastructure and also the Chief Financial Officer and further advanced to Office Manager/PA to the Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer.
