Having taught a range of healthcare disciplines and medical students at both undergraduate and post graduate level, Clare has vast experience in all areas of learning, teaching and assessment. She has been a module lead, course leader and dissertation supervisor.

Clare is a registered Diagnostic Radiographer and Sonographer, and has specialisms Cancer Screening and Heath Promotion. She completed her MSc in Health Promotion in 2003 and her Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching in 2010. Prior to joining the university, she was involved in service improvement and transformation; and is now working across the schools of Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health and Allied Health to research how its current structure impacts on the retention of learners and their overall success. She feels extremely fortunate to be taking on this role, allowing her to work with so many different people from across the institution and its practice partners.

Although much of Clare's career was based working within NHS organisations, she is used to working within research, education and health promotion.
