He graduated from the University of Nottingham at the top of his year (BSc Microbiology), before gaining his PGCE and QTS in Secondary Science Education with Canterbury Christchurch University – through the Teach First Leadership Development Programme.

He has been Head of KS3 at an Ofsted outstanding state comprehensive high school, Head of Biology and MUN Director at a prestigious British International School, and a Teacher of A-Level and Applied Biology at an Ofsted outstanding sixth form college.
