Learning and Teaching Webinar Series – Bringing the Outside In

In higher education, the expertise and integration of practitioner knowledge is a widespread practice valued to enhance students' employability and increasingly universities encourage academics to demonstrate links with practitioners using company logos on courses and institutional pages. But do we consider this involvement from the student or practitioner viewpoint? Drawing on two projects conducted with funding awarded by the Academy of Marketing Dr Fran Hyde and marketing practitioner Luan Wise will discuss how 'Bringing the Outside in' can work well (and not work so well) for all parties involved. We'll end with tips, a check list and ideas of how to use social media to broaden your network of practitioners.
