Miles is the Head of Access and leads the University's Uni Connect Partnership, neaco, as well as our Access programme.

Miles joined the University of Suffolk in 2007 to set up and manage LEAP, a learning and skills partnership led by the University of Suffolk. Miles has been actively involved in supporting and promoting adult learning, organising the annual Suffolk Adult Learners' Awards for 10 years and currently sits on the County Council's Adult Learning Service Quality sub-Committee.  During his time at UoS, Miles also held the position of Alumni & Development Manager (maternity cover) 

Before working at UoS, Miles has held many roles within Further and Community Education in both Suffolk and London, including Head of FE at Suffolk County Council (SCC) and Head of Curriculum for Community Learning at SCC. 

Miles graduated in Anthropology & Politics from Oxford Brookes University and is a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner.

He is Chair of Governors at Chantry Academy, Ipswich and a Trustee of the Active Learning Trust. Miles was a Trustee of Gateway Qualifications for 14 years including 4 years as Chair.
