Marc Newby

Marc has over 10 years' experience in the compliance and regulation field and his role within the Vice-Chancellor’s Office is to implement and oversee governance and compliance across several key areas including Data Governance and Board Compliance. Marc previously worked at a global renewable energy company for 12 years, leading compliance functions specialising in Regulatory Reform, Customer Due Diligence, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Data Protection and Policy Writing. Marc has obtained various compliance-related qualifications including:

International Compliance Association: Advanced Certificate in Regulatory Compliance - Merit
International Compliance Association: Certificate in Know Your Customer and Customer Due Diligence
OpenLearn: Risk Management Certification

In his spare time he writes music and is an avid reader.
