Before joining the university Linda was a PhD student and Associate Tutor at UEA. She also ran several outreach workshops with various schools in Norfolk. Linda had originally trained as a scientist and gained a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biology. However, her love of literature drew her back to University where she studied part time with Open University to gain an BA and MA in English literature, before going on to the UEA. Her research on grief in the works of James Joyce was noticed by a publisher and she published her monograph, Attachment and Loss in the Works of James Joyce, in 2022.
Linda is a member of an Amateur Theatrical Society, which takes up a lot of spare time, particularly during panto season!
Linda has a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. She ran seminars at the UEA for the Literature In History 2 course for 3 years.
