Lauren Smith

Lauren joined the University in June 2021 as a People Business Partner and moved over to the role of Culture Business Partner in July 2022. 

Lauren is responsible for applying an EDI, Wellbeing and Values lens to all things 'People' with the aim of improving people outcomes, opportunities and experiences for all of our people. 

Lauren is a graduate of the University of Suffolk achieving their PgD in Human Resource Management in 2018 gaining Associate CIPD membership. Before joining the University, they worked for the NHS and in the private sector as an HR Generalist with 8 years HR experience. They are also the Chair of the LGBTQ+ Staff Network.
