Joanne Learney is a registered Adult and Children’s nurse, with experience in adult and paediatric intensive care. She qualified in 1998 and has gained experience working in General, Cardiothoracic including congenital heart defects and Burn’s intensive care. Joanne has also worked in Paediatric Intensive care obtaining her PGDip in the field. Joanne has her MSc in Medical and Healthcare Education.
For the last 4 years, Joanne has been a professional development Sister focusing on the development of both new nurses and experienced nurses in intensive care. Her teaching experience is both classroom based and clinical facilitation in the clinical area. Focus being Respiratory, cardiovascular, Neurological systems as well as human factors, professionalism and legal aspects of nursing.
