Professor Eloise Ellis joined the University of Suffolk as Pro Vice Chancellor Education and Student Experience in August 2025. In her role she provides strategic leadership for the University's learning and teaching strategy and student experience.
Eloise is a Professor of Public Law, having lectured at King's College London and Queen Mary, University of London before joining the University of East Anglia in 2011 where she held a number of senior leadership positions, most recently Associate Pro Vice Chancellor, Education and Curriculum having previously been Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching Quality for the Social Sciences Faculty and the Law School’s Director of Learning and Teaching. She is a Visiting Professor at the University of Salzburg, the Université Catholique de Lille and the University of London (International Programmes).
Professor Ellis is on the Executive Committee of the Society of Legal Scholars (SLS), the Board of Governors of the Institute of Law, Jersey and a member of the Academic Panel of Francis Taylor Building Chambers.
Professor Ellis is also a Quality Assessor for the Office for Students and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
