Dr. Syed Jan is a full-time lecturer in Computing at the University of Suffolk since June 2023. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Bedfordshire, UK. Following his studies, he successfully completed his PhD titled "Energy-efficient Data Aggregation for Cluster-based Wireless Sensor Networks." During his doctoral research, he focused on investigating and designing innovative techniques for energy-efficient data collection in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) that not only conserve energy in WSNs but also enhance their performance and overall lifetime.

With a remarkable publication record, Dr. Syed Jan has contributed extensively to the field of energy-efficient data aggregation and wireless sensor networks (WSNs). His has over thirteen publications, which has been featured in highly reputed journals, significantly advancing knowledge and understanding in the field. Additionally, Dr. Syed Jan has accumulated extensive experience working for various higher education institutes over a span of almost fourteen years. This experience likely brings valuable insights and expertise to his role as a lecturer in Computing at the University of Suffolk.
