Accepted Qualifications

The University of Suffolk welcomes applications from students with a wide range of qualifications.
Please refer to the information below for details on our accepted qualifications, including English language requirements.

For entry onto an undergraduate degree, applicants are required to have one of the following qualifications:

  • Applicants with an East African Advanced Certificate of Education/ and a Advanced Certificate of Education to be considered on the same basis as UK A-Level applicants

  • Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate (COHSC)

  • International Foundation Programme (from a recognised institution)
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme: 28 points
  • A-levels (refer to course pages)

For entry onto a postgraduate course, applicants are required to have:

  • Students with a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in Uganda with equivalent to 2:2

If English is not your first language, you may need to provide evidence of your English language ability as part of your application. 

The most commonly known assessments for this that we accept are; 

  • IELTS (Academic/UKVI) 
  • Cambridge English 
  • Pearson (Academic) 
  • TOFEL (iBT) 
  • ZIMSEC

Agents

The University of Suffolk works with education agents, also known as representatives, to support prospective students with their application to study abroad.
