Collecting Your Student ID

Collecting your Student ID is the final step for you to enrol at University of Suffolk. You can do this anytime from 7 January 2026, but you must have completed your enrolment task online at least 72 hours before.

All you need to do is book a slot to collect your ID. You will need to come to the Student Centre in the Waterfront Building and bring with you a form of ID. We will check your ID, confirm your details and do something called a Right to Study check.

All new students, including British and Irish nationals, are required to demonstrate they have the Right to Study in the UK. The information you need to bring with you on your first day depends on your immigration permission or nationality - head to our Right to Study page for more details. If you are an International Sponsored student you must have visited the Student Centre to complete your Right to Study before you can complete your enrolment. You will be able to book your slot for collecting your Student ID during that time.
