Dan Coxon

Dan joined the university in December 2023 as Head of Apprenticeships within the Business Engagement, Careers and Employability Directorate. Working closely with both the Associate Director of the Leadership & Management Academy and Director of Apprentices, Dan is responsible for the development, management and delivery of BECE’s apprenticeship programmes.

Prior to joining the university, Dan worked at the Open University as a Student Experience Manager and Qualification Lead on the Faculty of Business & Law’s Level 7 management apprenticeships. At the OU Dan worked closely with business development, compliance, central academic, associate lecturer and student experience colleagues in shaping the successful delivery of both the SLMDA and SLA programmes.

Dan’s academic roots can be found at the University of Plymouth where he was a Lecturer in Marketing and Knowledge Exchange Manager. Prior to that, the first 25 years of Dan’s career were spent working in marketing and development roles in the commercial creative industries and charity sectors.
