Yvonne has extensive experience in education and training leading to a sustained record of success in further education and apprenticeships. Yvonne led a retail and commercial enterprise apprenticeship department to achieve outstanding for 'employer responsiveness' during a 2010 Ofsted inspection and was the apprenticeship nominee for the EIF pilot in November 2018.  

Yvonne also has recent experience of strategic leadership as an Assistant Principal responsible for 2,000 apprentices in a grade one FE college. The role also involved managing 58 different standards, particularly in health, engineering, digital and business, working with a range of EPA organizations, experience of commissioning and implementing a new apprenticeship platform, working with both levy and non-levy employers, and managing a diverse range of partnerships and sub-contracts.  

Yvonne won a Brap equality and diversity award in 2007, became an Ofqual expert for apprenticeships and the hair and beauty industry in 2018, appointed as an honorary member of city and guilds in recognition for her contribution to education and training and had strategic responsibility for a portfolio of high -profile national contracts with ETF and the DFE in 2020. 

One of Yvonne's biggest passions in education has been to support learners to enter and win skills competitions such as world skills and has had considerable success over the years.
