Lucy supports the Research Directorate team at the University of Suffolk, providing administrative support for the Research Institutes. Lucy is coordinator for the Institute of Health and Wellbeing and the Institute for Social Justice and Crime, and also provides support to the wider Research Office team.
Lucy is also the Committee Secretary for the University’s Staff Research Ethics Committee and the REF Working Group.
Lucy is currently working towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration, Management and Leadership which she is completing through the Association of University Administrators (AUA) of which she is also a member. Lucy is studying alongside her full-time role and is due to finish this course in October 2023.
Lucy has a BA (Hons) degree in History and French and has previously worked in Student & Academic Services at the University of York, Department of Biology. Lucy joined the University of Suffolk in September 2021.
Outside of work, Lucy is a member of the Suffolk Guild of Ringers and volunteers regularly to ring church bells for Sunday services and other worship. Lucy is involved in teaching new recruits within Ipswich to ring church bells and volunteers her time to support their development. Lucy is also a member of the Ipswich Team that has won the East Anglia Regional 12 Bell Striking Competition two years running in both 2022 and 2023.
