Harriet is the Research and Knowledge Exchange Funding Manager in the University of Suffolk’s Research and Knowledge Exchange Office (RKEO). Harriet provides support for academic colleagues across the Research Institutes, Centres, and Schools to identify funding opportunities and develop high-quality applications. This includes supporting submissions to open research grant calls, contracted and commissioned research, consultancy, and a range of KE funding schemes. Harriet oversees and coordinates day-to-day pre-award services and systems, guiding academic colleagues through the full pre-award process— from the development of detailed project budgets through to the submission of funding proposals.
Before moving back to Suffolk in September 2026, Harriet worked at Canterbury Christ Church University as Research and Innovation Manager supporting academic colleagues with the development of funding applications. She holds a PhD in Medieval History which explored the topic of aristocratic female inheritance in thirteenth-century England.
