Gemma is a lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography who joined the University of Suffolk in August 2022. She has expertise in Musculoskeletal Appendicular and Axial reporting and currently reports at the East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust at Ipswich Hospital. Prior to this Gemma was a Practice Educator at Ipswich Hospital and has a huge passion in developing radiography students into great Diagnostic Radiographers who keeps the service users care at the forefront.

Gemma teaches on the BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography Programme with her expertise in plain film imaging and Musculoskeletal reporting. She is module leader for personal professional development and joint Practice lead.

Gemma has a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical and Medical Education (2018) and is working towards her fellowship of Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Gemma has been involved with trialling coaching within the Diagnostic Radiography department during her role as practice educator and is keen to be involved with research to encourage a coaching culture within radiography practice.

Gemma is registered as a Diagnostic Radiographer with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR).
