Efe began as an enterprise and entrepreneurship lecturer in the Suffolk Business School. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in, and Course Leader of Business Management in the School of Technology, Business and Arts.  A Senior Fellow of HEA, Efe was awarded a PhD in entrepreneurship at the University of Strathclyde. Efe’s research engages with digital entrepreneurs and stakeholders in digital entrepreneurship ecosystems to explore the navigation of institutional complexity and to understand bifold practices in legitimising and perpetuating gendered phenomenon in digital contexts.

Efe brings into her lecture sessions over ten years of experience as a digital entrepreneur whilst drawing on cutting-edge research to inform her pedagogic practice.

In addition to conducting phenomenological research, Efe’s research and teaching interests include digital entrepreneurship, digitalisation, digital ecosystems, digital research methods, qualitative methodologies, and entrepreneurial practices in non-occidental contexts.

Efe has presented her research at international conferences including International Conference on Information Technology and Economic Development, Scottish Entrepreneurship Research Seminar (SERS) and ISBE Gender and Enterprise Confreat. In addition, Efe continues to be a reviewer for The International Journal of Management Education, Academy of Management and ISBE conferences; and served as reviewer for International Information Management Association Conference and University of Strathclyde Doctoral School Multidisciplinary Symposium (DSMS).

Efe is a Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy and a Member of Africa Tech Research also known as Research Forum Entrepreneurship Africa. Efe is also an active member of
