Angela Treagust

Angela started her career at BT, and through the graduate career path she qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant, at the same time as gaining a broad experience across numerous finance roles within the organisation. Following an extended career break to spend the formative years with her three daughters, she joined the University of Essex, playing a key role in the creation of the Campus Services Directorate, progressing to Deputy Director Finance and Strategic Planning.

Angela brings experience from a range of sectors, undertaking a Finance leadership role in a housing association prior to her current position as Chief Finance and People Officer at Britten Pears Arts, where she has built on her business transformation experience and impact. She has responsibility for Finance, HR, IT and is Company Secretary.

Angela was born in Ipswich and returned to Suffolk twenty years ago with her husband and three daughters, all of whom went to school in Ipswich. Angela is passionate about the growth and development of Ipswich and opportunities for young adults to study and work in the county. Outside of work, Angela is a keen gig rower.
