Andrew has worked in working in mental health in a variety of different roles since 2008. He completed his nursing degree with the University of Suffolk 2021. Andrew brings experience from psychiatric intensive care units, community nursing, mental health rehabilitation and most recently working with the police in custody to support detainees to access support for their health and wellbeing. Andrew has a passion for learning a person's story to support them to understand their mental health difficulties and help them to work towards their recovery using person centred care.
Andrew developed an interest in teaching and learning by giving guest talks about his role within police custody to student nurses and providing learning sessions to custody staff on supporting people within custody that may be experiencing mental health difficulties.
Andrew completed his BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing degree at the university in 2021.
