Vanessa Sharp
Lecturer in Life Sciences
Vanessa is a Lecturer within Life Sciences in the School of Engineering, Arts, Science and Technology (EAST), leading modules across BSc Nutrition and Human Health, BSc Biomedical Science and BSc Biological Science courses at all levels.
Vanessa’s research interests lie within the Regenerative Medicine field. During her PhD, she worked with Associate Professor Federica Masieri to create an osteoarthritis (OA) cellular disease model using induced pluripotent stem cells, along with research into the identification of potential OA biomarkers by meta-analysis.
Previously, Vanessa attained her MSc in Regenerative Medicine at the University of Suffolk. Vanessa also has broad experience outside of academia within the medical device and in vitro diagnostic industries, primarily within regulatory affairs and quality assurance.
