Early Childhood Studies Graduate - Class of 2014

Tiffany Armstrong

Introduction

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I chose this course in particular because of the modules it offered, and the fact that I would be able to progress to teacher training after finishing the course.

The best part of studying here for me was the people I met. The friends I made were so supportive and taught me a lot about myself and the life I had whilst at university. My lecturers were so helpful throughout my whole experience. They were approachable, understanding and most of all friendly to everybody on the course and this made it so much easier to complete my degree.

I took part in quite a few of the extra-curricular activities on offer, mainly in sports.

Hockey

I played and captained the netball team, was part of the girls hockey team and when I didn't have a match for either of these I would drive the mini bus for other teams to play their fixtures and to show them support. It was great fun as well as being a chance to keep fit.

Finishing my course was a huge step for me, and I knew I wanted to study a PGCE. For me I wanted to do something different, so I applied for an overseas teacher's position in Kuwait and it is here I am now gaining my Qualified Teacher Status.
