Many of the second year Social Work degree apprentices have found it difficult to learn in the virtual world during such uncertain times. Picking up the knowledge and skills required in their role, adjusting to being a new team member, studying towards a degree, and managing the challenges of everyday life can be testing at times.
However the group have praised the University staff for making lectures as engaging as possible and for providing recordings of the sessions in order to maximise learning opportunities. The apprentices feel that they have been given the tools to help them to charter the unknown and to manage situations as effectively as possible during these unprecedented times. The accessibility of support from lecturers, the Practice Educator and Suffolk County Council has been invaluable and the group have learned so much by embracing the energy and effort brought by the teaching team.
