Career Overview

Simon undertook his nurse education at University Campus Suffolk, qualifying with a first class BSc(Hons) in Mental Health Nursing. He has since worked in Psychiatric Intensive Care and Rehabilitation and Recovery. Prior to undertaking his nursing degree, Simon worked in Psychiatric Intensive Care, Mainstream Primary School Services, Adult Acute Psychiatry, Adult and Young People’s Learning Disability Services and Medium Secure Psychiatry.

Simon became interested in nurse education whilst studying at University Campus Suffolk., developing a particular enthusiasm in the creative arts and how nurses can use them collaboratively alongside service users to help establish and develop therapeutic relationships and thus enable and sustain their recovery.

Teaching and Other Responsibilities

Simon will be working on the programmes for Apprentice, Pre-Registration and Foundation Degree Nursing, as well as studying for the Post-Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice.
