As a Lecturer at the University of East Anglia (UEA) since 2012, Rowena teaches in the School of History and in the Interdisciplinary Institute for the Humanities.
In addition to leading on modules which particularly focus on rural England from 1660-1900, Rowena has been involved with a range of enterprise and engagement projects including Virtual Past, Eighth in the East and Archives on line. She has worked closely with a number of business partnerships to promote internships and other collaborative projects, including the East Anglian Film Archive and Churches Conservation Trust.
Prior to her appointment as a lecturer, she has seven years of experience as Research Manager in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at UEA. Educated at the UEA, she is also secretary of the Local Population Studies Society, and the Norfolk and Norwich Branch of the Historical Association.
