Robyn Van Ryssen

Introduction

Robyn graduated from The University of Leicester in 2013 with a BA (Hons) in History and Politics.

She worked at the University of Suffolk Students’ Union as the Student Voice Coordinator, where she facilitated the democratic processes such as the sabbatical elections and Union Council.

She joined the University of Suffolk within the Suffolk and Norfolk Collaborative Outreach (SNCO) team in April 2016 and has gone on to be the University's Outreach Officer where she leads on events such as Uni Camp, Splendid, Family Awareness Day and other schools liasion work. Robyn also works part-time at the university within the Network for East Anglian Collaborative Outreach (NEACO) team as a Higher Education Champion.  

She currently works with a cluster of schools in Suffolk. Her role through NEACO  forms part of a team which aims to double the proportion of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in Higher Education.  She currently works with students aged Y9-13 delivering a range of targeted outreach activities to raise aspirations and explain  the full range of Higher Education options available to them.
