Kirsten Rausing lives in Newmarket, Suffolk and is the owner of the renowned Lanwades Stud.
Kirsten is a member of the University of Liverpool s Faculty of Veterinary Science Advisory Board. She is the present Chairman of The Thoroughbred Breeders Association of this country and a Director of Jockey Club Estates in Newmarket.
She was also formerly Chairman of the European Federation of Thoroughbred Breeders Associations (Paris) and held directorships of the British Bloodstock Agency plc and The National Stud.
She has for many years been active in the Animal Health Trust and chairs its Equine Industry Committee. Newmarket s continued recognition as a worldwide centre of excellence of the Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry is of great importance to East Anglia, the UK and Europe. Kirsten feels she is indeed fortunate to have in some small way been able to contribute to this.
