I decided to study BSc (Hons) Web and Mobile Development after studying a BTEC Extended diploma in Computing at college. I enjoyed the units that were to do with development. One of them was web development which I enjoyed and I am now pursuing, and hope to have a career in.
One of the best things about this course is that it doesn't matter if you have no former knowledge about coding, as you will be shown the basics. I think this is helpful, especially as a cohort you may have varying knowledge but will be able to help each other.
The support is great, being able to contact a lecturer in multiple ways for help with modules or a project is helpful and stressless, especially when they reply quickly and with an abundance of feedback.
I would like the prospect of either becoming a front-end web developer or a full-stack web developer.
Out of term time I live in Folkestone (Kent), which is not close, but at the time Suffolk was the closest institution that offered this course.
As the opportunities on the web at the moment are skyrocketing and will probably be for a very long time, it is a very good degree to study, especially if you love technology and development.
