Having enjoyed 30 years as a teacher, Ian has recently become a Research Associate at UOS, evaluating the impact of social mobility projects across four local schools.
He was previously a Deputy Head of a large, successful comprehensive school in Woodbridge, Suffolk. His main responsibilities included leadership and management of post 16 studies, curriculum design and timetabling.
Alongside his research post, Ian now works across England and Wales, helping schools, colleges, MATs and Local Authorities to analyse their value-added data. He also helps schools to write timetables and is soon to be a mentor on a regional teacher training scheme.
